Croatia: Bioenergy
During a visit to Germany, 14 members of the Croatia bioenergy sector participated in the "Renewable Energies Export Intitiative" programme between 7 and 10 February 2011. The Renewable Energies Export Initiative presents renewable energy technologies from Germany to foreign markets, together with ways of using them. 24 German companies used the opportunity to establish business contacts with representatives from Croatia companies.

Belarus: Energy Efficiency in the Industry
During a visit to Germany, 11 members of the Byelorussian energy management sector participated in the "Energy Efficiency Export Initiative“ programme between 6 and 9 December 2010. 23 German companies used the opportunity to establish business contacts with representatives from Byelorussian companies.

Russia: Timber Industry
A high level delegation of forestry ministers from various regions in Russia came to Germany between 11 and 16 July 2010. During their stay, they visited numerous German businesses, the Bavarian State Agricultural and Forestry Ministry and a variety of professional institutions. A presentation of the value chain provided the delegates with information ranging from the cultivation in the forest tree nursery, through harvesting in the forest, to completion of the respective final products. The programme was rounded off by a portrayal of the up-to-date options for complementary energy efficient utilisation of by-products from the wood processing industry. The educational journey was concluded by a visit to the “Interforst 2010” trade fair in Munich.

Serbia: Water Management
During a visit to Bavaria, 20 members of the Serbian water management sector participated in the "Bayern - Fit for Partnership“ programme. 25 Bavarian companies used the opportunity to establish business contacts with representatives from Serbian water companies.

Croatia: Meat Industry
During a visit to Bavaria, 16 Croatian decision makers from the meat production and meat processing sector participated in the "Bayern - Fit for Partnership" programme, which provided them with information on European standards for meat processing and up-to-date technologies and processes in the individual production processes

Romania: Baking Industry
15 professional specialists and managers from the Romanian baking industry were introduced to Bavarian baking technology and its tradition. The Romanian participants were mainly interested in gaining information about European standards of bakery product manufacturing, having come to Bavaria with precise investment plans. The delegation had been invited to Bavaria by the Bavarian ministry as part of the "Bayern - Fit for Partnership" programme.

Azerbaijan: Construction Industry
As part of the "Bayern - Fit for Partnership" programme, 13 professional specialists and managers from the Azerbaijani construction industry were invited to Bavaria, in order to gain information about the application of modern machinery. Together with Bavarian companies, the delegates arrived at solutions for specific issues and problem areas.

Peru: Organic Industry – Food and Natural Cosmetics
For more than ten years, BioFach has been the world’s largest trade fair for ecological consumer products, taking place in Nuremberg in February each year. An important issue for every country is the development of national and international marketing structures, and simultaneously the reinforcement of international cooperation.
During Biofach 2010, we provided support for 13 Peruvian organic product manufacturers and processors, in their search for trade and sales partners in cooperation with the Chamber of Trade and Industry Lima. The companies presented themselves at the Biofach at a joint Peruvian booth. In order to promote the international success of the Peruvian companies, specific B2B meetings with potential business partners were held, enabling the Peruvians to establish contacts with wholesalers, retailers, buyers of food companies and discounters. During a tour of the trade fair the companies discussed topics such as international certification, fair trade and trade and structure in the organic sector in Germany, including talks with Naturland e.V., Demeter international e.V., Ecocert GmbH, Transfair e.V. and the BÖLW.
